About Fam Theory

Cleaning Your Home Shouldn’t Come at the Cost of Your Health.

Fam Theory began with a simple question: Why should keeping our homes clean mean bringing harsh chemicals into them?

Our founder, Varun Ningala, had spent years building brands and understanding what people bring into their homes every day. But the more he looked at conventional cleaning products, the more he felt something was missing. We were being told that the stronger the smell and the harsher the formula, the cleaner our homes would be.

Yet the products we use on our floors, kitchen counters, bathrooms and everyday surfaces can leave behind chemical residues and release irritating fumes. Ingredients commonly found in conventional cleaners—such as strong solvents, chlorine-based compounds, ammonia and synthetic fragrances—can irritate the skin, eyes and respiratory system, especially with frequent exposure. And many of these chemicals eventually make their way into our water systems and environment.

A clean home should feel fresh—not chemically overwhelming.

That belief became the foundation of Fam Theory.

We create plant-based, naturally derived cleaning solutions designed to give you the cleaning performance you expect, without relying on an unnecessarily harsh chemical approach. From everyday messes to stubborn stains, our goal is simple: make cleaning safer, more thoughtful and better suited to the homes we actually live in.

Because your home isn't just a place you clean.

It’s where your family lives, plays, eats, rests and grows.

And we believe the products you use there should respect that.

Cleaner Home. Thoughtful Choices. Naturally.

Fam Theory is more than a cleaning brand. It’s our way of challenging the idea that “powerful cleaning” has to mean “harsh chemicals.”

We’re here to prove that nature can do more—and that choosing better for your home doesn’t have to mean compromising on cleanliness.

Because what makes a home truly clean is not just what you remove from it, but what you choose to bring into it.
